These simple steps save lives. Wrighitngton Hospital, Wigan couldn't do these simple steps. 1) The correct medication to prevent the formation of blood clots 2) A mechanical device to flow the blood in the legs so blood is not allowed to pool and form a clot. An orthopaedic surgeon needs to insist that their patients receive the most effective pre-operative and post-operative prophylaxis available. My father received nothing.
