These simple steps save lives. Wrighitngton Hospital, Wigan couldn't do these simple steps.

1) The correct medication to prevent the formation of blood clots
2) A mechanical device to flow the blood in the legs so blood is not allowed to pool and form a clot. This could be TED stockings, flo-tron boots or impulse pads.
3) INR making sure this is checked and should reach 2.5 to stop the formation of clots. (International normalized ratio)
